Baniyas achieved its first victory this season against Dibba Al Hisn team in the match that brought the two teams together for the first leg of the preliminary round of ADIB Cup, which ended with a score of 4-2 and was held at Baniyas Club Stadium on Saturday evening.

Al Samawi entered the match with a lineup that included Fahad Al Dhanhani, Khamis Al Mansouri, Burca, Joao Victor, Khamis Al Hammadi, Sail Samuel, Fawaz Awana, Juan Bauza, Lazar Markovic, ISaac, and Niakate.

Baniyas scored early, showing its true intentions to win, through team captain Fawaz Awana with a header that found the back of the net after a distinguished assist from his new teammate Lazar Markovic.

But the guests' response came quickly when Nikša Vujanović scored the equalizer for Dibba Al-Hisn in the 12th minute.

Once again, Baniyas scored the lead through player Laraz Markovic in the 14th minute after an assist from his teammate Juan Bauza.

Then Dibba Al-Hisn returned again to equalize the score, this time through a penalty kick successfully executed by Osama Al-Haddadi in the 20th minute. The first half ended in a positive draw with a score of 2-2.

In the second half, the attacking intentions of the Sky Blues were clear and they were able to obtain a penalty kick at the beginning of the second half, which was successfully executed by striker Niakate, announcing the Sky Blues' lead in the score in the 49th minute.
