Bani Yas achieved an important victory over its host Ajman with a score of 3-2, in the match that took place this evening at Rashid bin Saeed Stadium, as part of the competitions of the sixteenth round of the ADNOC Professional League 2024-2025.
The match witnessed a fast start after Ajman player Abdulrahman Ahmed was sent off in the fourth minute, which gave Bani Yas an early advantage that it successfully exploited. Niakaté opened the scoring for the Sky Blues in the 13th minute, before captain Fawaz Awana strengthened the score with the second goal in the 18th minute, to end the first half with Bani Yas leading 2-0.
In the second half, Markovic added the third goal for Bani Yas in the 73rd minute, but Ajman did not give up, and succeeded in reducing the difference with Milos Kosanovic scoring the first goal in the 87th minute, before Lithierry da Silva added the second goal in the 88th minute.
With this victory, Bani Yas raised its score to 19 points to occupy the ninth place in the standings, while Ajman froze at 19 points as well in the tenth place.
