Baniyas succeeded in turning the table against Al-Nasr and winning by two goals against one in the match that brought the two teams together for the nineteenth round of the ADNOC Professional League, which was held at Al Shamkha Stadium.
Al-Samawi entered the meeting with a squad that included Fahd Al-Dhanhani, Khaled Al-Attas, Sasha, Joao Victor, Khamis Al-Hammadi, Fawaz Awana, Shaheen Sorour, Gaston Suarez, Suhail Al Noubi, Mohammed Rashid, and Isaac Thelin.
In the first half, the guests managed to score early through Ryan Mendes in the 18th minute after there were great doubts about the goal's validity, but the referee, after referring to the video technology, confirmed the validity of the goal and announced the victory progress with a goal for nothing.
A few minutes later, Al-Nasr player Mohamed Fawzi received a red card immediately after he severely interfered with Baniyas player Suhail Al Noubi, who recovered the expulsion from the field ground, so Al-Nasr completed the match with a reduced number.
After that, Al-Samawi tried to return to the result by controlling the game, but Al Nasr's defenses prevented that, so the first half ended with the guests advancing with one goal for nothing.
In the second half, the Baniyas coach threw all his winning cards, the first of which was the entry of Nicolas Gimenez, the team's star, who changed a lot of the team's image in the second half.
Baniyas waited until the last minute to score the equalizer through a penalty kick scored by Isaac Thelin in the 90th minute, and then Saca returned to score the winning goal in the 92nd minute, to announce the victory of Al Samawi and achieve three important points against Al Nasr.
With this victory, Baniyas raised its score to 28 points in sixth place, achieving its third consecutive victory in the league championship.
