In the second round of the ADNOC Professional League, Bani Yas lost to Al Nasr 4-1 in the match that was held at Al Maktoum Stadium.
The Sky Blues entered the match with a lineup that included Fahad Al Dhanhani, Khamis Al Mansouri, Burka, Joao Victor, Khalaf Al Hosani, Sil Samuel, Fawaz Awana, Juan Bauza, Lazar Markovic, Isaac, and Youssefou Niakaté.
The match started at a fast pace as Al Nasr opened the scoring in the 14th minute through Adel Taarabt after a pass from Ali Mabkhout. Bani Yas did not delay in responding, as Youssef Niakaté scored the equalizer just two minutes later, exploiting a gap in Al Nasr's defense.
In the second half, Al Nasr imposed complete control over the match. Othman Boussaid succeeded in scoring Al Nasr's second goal in the 53rd minute with a wonderful header after a perfect cross from Marwan Azraqan. Al Nasr continued their offensive pressure, with Ali Mabkhout adding the third goal in the 65th minute with a powerful shot after a pass from Taarabt, achieving his first goal with the team. Abdullah Toure concluded Al Nasr's goals in the 75th minute with a low shot from inside the penalty area.
In the final minutes of the match, Bani Yas got a penalty kick, but Al Nasr goalkeeper Abdullah Al Tamimi successfully saved it, keeping the score unchanged.
With this win, Al Nasr raised its score to 6 points, topping the league standings, while Bani Yas' score stopped at 3 points.
