Baniyas stumbled against its host Al Wasl Club with a score of 3-2 in the match that brought together the two teams for the third round of the ADNOC Professional League, which was held at Zabeel Stadium at Al Wasl Club on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

Al-Samawi entered the match with a squad that included: Fahd Al-Dhanhani - Sasha - Hussein Abbas - Joao Victor - Khamis Al-Hammadi - Fawaz Awana - Suarez - Geraldes - Taulant Siviri - Suhail Al-Noubi - and Youssef Nyakaté.

Al Wasl took the lead early in the first quarter hour of the first half through Harris in the 14th minute. Minutes later, Bani Yas was able to equalize the score through defender Sasha with a beautiful header in the 21st minute, ending the first half in a positive draw.

At the beginning of the second half, Al-Wasl managed to score the second goal through Ali Saleh in the 61st minute, and then Adama Diallo added the third goal in the 83rd minute.

Al-Samawi tried to return to the match and was able to reduce the difference through Sasha in the 87th minute via a header, but it did not help Al-Samawi and lost the match with a score of 3-2.
