Baniyas succeeded in reaching the semi-finals of the President's Cup after beating Ittihad Kalba 0-2 in the match that was held at Ittihad Kalba Stadium to calculate the quarter-finals of the competition.

Al-Samawi entered the meeting with a squad that included Fahd Al-Dhanhani, Muhammad Jaber, Sasha, Khamis Al-Hammadi, Joao Victor, Fawaz Awana, Gaston Suarez, Nicolas Gimenez, Ahmed Shehda, Suhail Al Noubi, and Isaac Thelin.

The first half witnessed many chances and real attempts to score by the Baniyas team, but it lacked the final touch in front of the goal.

In the second half, Al Samawi entered strongly and managed to score the first goal through player Saca with a powerful header that inhabited the nets of Ittihad Kalba in the 58th minute.

Ten minutes later, the star of the meeting, Nico Gimenez, managed to add the second goal through a direct free kick, which he fired with mastery and strength, to announce the progress of Baniyas with the second goal in the 68th minute.

After the second goal, Baniyas maintained the score and dominated the match, to be able to successfully win and reach the semi-finals of the tournament.

Baniyas will meet with Al Wahda Club in the semi-finals, where the match will be held at Al Shamkha Stadium there in Baniyas.
