Baniyas suffered a 1-0 defeat against Hatta at Baniyas Stadium in Round 4 of the 2026/27 ADNOC Pro League season.

The first half was evenly contested, with both sides looking to establish control and create opportunities, while the Sky Blues continued to push forward in search of the opening goal.

Baniyas found the back of the net through Youssouf Niakaté shortly before halftime, but the goal was ruled out following a VAR review, leaving the score goalless at the break.

In the second half, Baniyas increased their attacking efforts and continued to search for the breakthrough, threatening the Hatta goal on several occasions. However, the deadlock remained unbroken as the match entered its closing stages.

With the contest seemingly heading towards a draw, Hatta scored the decisive goal through Ayman Rchoq in the sixth minute of stoppage time (90+6) following a counter-attacking move.

Baniyas attempted to respond in the remaining moments, but there was not enough time to find an equaliser, as the match ended 1-0 in favour of Hatta.

Baniyas will now turn their attention to the upcoming fixtures, with the team looking to regroup and return to positive results in the next stage of its ADNOC Pro League campaign.
