Baniyas translated their dominance in the first half by opening the scoring in the 19th minute through Youssouf Niakaté, who finished off a well-built attacking move to give his side the lead.
The hosts continued their attacking pressure and doubled their advantage in the 30th minute when Modibo Camara capitalized on a precise cross, heading the ball into the net.
