Baniyas achieved a valuable victory over Kalba after coming from behind to win 2-1 in the match that was held at Al Shamkha Stadium for the 12th round of the ADNOC Professional League.

The visitors took the lead first through Filip Kiss after a perfect shot from outside the penalty area went past goalkeeper Fahd Al-Dhanhani in the 36th minute.

Baniyas tried to return the day after, when Baniyas player Sale Samuel hit a strong ball from outside the penalty area, which goalkeeper Issa Ahmed turned into a corner in the 43rd minute, ending the first half with Ittihad Kalba leading by one goal to nothing.

In the second half, the referee awarded a penalty kick for Baniyas after Sultan Adel interfered with Youssef Niakate, which caused the Ittihad Kalba player to receive a second yellow card and be expelled from the match. Taulant Solgmanov stepped forward to implement it and scored successfully, equalizing in the 54th minute.

In the last minutes of the match, Youssef Niakate scored the winning goal for Baniyas after he faced the goalkeeper and shot the ball so that it bounced off him, then returned to him and he shot it again into the net in the 94th minute.

With this victory, Baniyas raised its score to 16 points, while Ittihad Kalba’s score stopped at 12 points.
