Baniyas held the pre-match press conference ahead of its upcoming clash against Sharjah in Round 22 of the ADNOC Pro League, with head coach Daniel Isăilă and player Khamis Al Hammadi addressing the media.
Head coach Daniel Isăilă stressed the importance of the upcoming match and the need to deliver a strong performance at home.
“We are facing an important match at home. Although we were not satisfied with our previous game, we analyzed it well and focused on recovery and preparation over the last two days,” Isăilă said.
He added:
“We have some players returning, with Yahya Nader back from suspension. Mackenzie was ill and trained separately, while Hassan Al Muharrami is still recovering after nose surgery.”
Isăilă continued:
“The rest of the squad is in good condition, except Suhail Al Noobi, who will miss the match due to suspension.”
Speaking about the opponent, he said:
“We know it will not be an easy match. Sharjah are a very strong team with high quality, regardless of their current position in the table.”
He added:
“From analyzing their recent matches, especially their last game, we saw how they came back strongly against Al Wasl and created many chances.”
Isăilă emphasized the mental aspect:
“Sharjah are a well-organized team with strong individual players, so we must be mentally strong from the first minute and play with confidence and discipline.”
He concluded:
“If we stay focused and disciplined, I am confident we can deliver a good performance and achieve a positive result.”
