Khaled Al Hashemi: There are 18 points on the field and we have to collect them all.
This evening, the introductory press conference for the Baniyas match against Al Jazira which will be held for the twenty-first round of the ADNOC Professional League, at Al Shamkha Stadium. The press conference was attended by coach Daniel Isaila and player Khaled Al Hashemi.
The coach started the conference by describing the match as an important match for the two teams. He also made it clear that Al Jazira comes from a difficult stage and a lot of pressure in matches after participating in the Asian Champions League and leaving the groups.
He added, "We know that Al Jazira is fully focused on competing for the league championship, which is what made it comfortable for many players in the last match in the Asian Champions League."
He also talked about the readiness of his team, Bani Yas, who made good use of the pause period and gained many benefits through the two friendly matches against the Saudi agreement and the Saudi victory, where he defeated the former and lost to the latter.
The coach explained: "We achieved many of the desired goals during the suspension period, the most important of which is contact with the big teams, gain experience and prepare better for the remaining matches of the season."
Speaking of facing Al Jazira, the coach made it clear that Bani Yas always lacks luck against Al Jazira, where in the previous two seasons Bani Yas did not succeed in winning against Al Jazira, but now we are trying to change this image.
He added, "Our presence now in the middle of the standings table may make Al Jazira more motivated to win, as it is competing for the league championship, but we strive to collect the largest number of points remaining to improve the team's position in the standings."
The coach concluded: "I am proud of my players and what they have done this season. We are now in the process of building a young team for the future. We aim to prepare the largest possible number of players to represent the national team, and this is something that benefits the team as well, through the players gaining international experience."
The player Khaled Al-Hashemi also spoke, who confirmed that it will be a great and interesting match, as it is a derby match and always witnesses many goals.
Al-Hashemi also made it clear that Bani Yas has a distinct quality of players who were able to truly compete for all championships last season and the current one as well, but all that the team lacks is a greater sense of responsibility in every match the team enters, which is what the team lacks to achieve championships.
Al-Hashemi concluded: "We still have 18 points on the field, and playing seriously to achieve all these points may change a lot of the team's image at the end of the season and may make the team reserve an Asian seat."
