Baniyas Club held the pre-match press conference ahead of their upcoming fixture against Al Wahda in the second round of the ADNOC Pro League, with head coach Daniel Isăilă and defender Mackenzie Hunt speaking to the media.
Head coach Daniel Isăilă described the upcoming match as a tough challenge against a strong opponent, saying:
“It will be a difficult game against a quality side like Al Wahda. They are having a good season and even in their last match against Al Wasl, they didn’t deserve to lose. It was similar for us against Al Nasr, where we also didn’t deserve to lose.”
He added:
“Both teams have different objectives. Our goal at Baniyas is to collect as many points as possible and move away from the danger zone in the league table.”
Isăilă continued:
“Our focus right now is on recovery and preparing in the best possible way for the upcoming match.”
Regarding team availability, he explained:
“Alhassan Koroma and Khalfan Mubarak will miss the match due to injury. Lionel Wamba will also be unavailable due to an agreement between the two clubs not to play against Al Wahda. In addition, Olympic team players Khamis Al Mansouri, Mansour Al Menhali, and Mubarak Ahmed will be absent.”
