Isaila: The derby is always a special match.

Bani Yas Club held a press conference to introduce its match against Al Wahda, in the 17th round of the ADNOC Professional League, in the presence of technical director Daniel Isaila and player Suhail Al Nubi, where both parties stressed the importance of the derby-style match between the two teams.

Coach Daniel Isaila began his speech by stressing the importance of the match for the team and the fans, saying:
“We have an important derby match against Al Wahda, and it is a match that is highly anticipated by our fans. We are fully aware that it will not be easy, as we are facing a distinguished team with high capabilities.”

He added: “We know that Al Wahda may have had some problems recently in terms of results, but it remains a strong team, and always presents great matches, and poses a threat to any opponent it faces. We need to be at the peak of our focus throughout the ninety minutes, because any simple mistake could cost us goals, as happened in our previous match.”

The Romanian coach stressed the need to address the mistakes that occurred in previous matches, saying:

“We have to learn from our mistakes, and be more resilient and focused throughout the match. We cannot lose our focus even for a moment, because such matches are decided by small details. We made some mistakes in the last match, and we have to make sure not to repeat them against a team like Al Wahda.”

He continued: “We need to play intelligently, and be calm and tactically disciplined throughout the match. We have to take advantage of the opportunities we get.”

Regarding the team’s roster, Issila revealed some absences that Bani Yas will suffer from in the match, as Khamis Al Hammadi will be absent due to injury, while Khamis Al Mansouri will be absent due to suspension for accumulating cards.

Al Nubi: We aspire to continue the positive results and please the fans

For his part, player Suhail Al Nubi confirmed that the team enters this match with the ambition to achieve victory and continue the series of positive results, saying:

“The derby match is always difficult and special at the same time. We realize its importance for us as players, and for the fans of both teams as well.”

He added: “We are determined to give our all in this match, and we aspire to achieve victory in front of our fans, whose support we await on Sunday at Al Shamkha Stadium, because they are our real motivation inside the stadium.”
