Baniyas Club signed a contract with Serbian winger Lazar Markovic, coming from the Turkish club Gaziantep, to join the first football team.

The Serbian has distinguished numbers, as he played 22 international matches with the Serbian national team, scoring 3 goals, while contributing to 119 goals with the clubs he played for, scoring 62 goals and making 54 goals.

He is also mentioned to have played for several international clubs, most notably Liverpool of England, Galatasaray of Turkey and Benfica of Portugal.
