The draw for the Year of Tolerance Championship, organized by Bani Yas Club, was held on Wednesday, November 27, 2019. The participating embassies were the Embassy of the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Republic of Tunisia, the Republic of Sudan, the Kingdom of Spain, ADNOC Distribution, Etihad Airways and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as the host of the event Baniyas Club.

At the beginning of the draw ceremony that was held at Bab Al Qasr Hotel, HE General Manager Mohammed Suhail Al Kathiri, Head of the Community Initiatives, Board Member spoke about the importance of the tournament as it is named after the Year of Tolerance and enjoying the beauty of the sport of football under one roof at Baniyas Club.

Mohamed Suhail emphasized that the club's orientations come to the work of this tournament permanently and continue to be wider and more comprehensive in the coming years and are invited all embassies located in our dear homeland and create an atmosphere of fair challenging and competition in a tolerant country.

It is worth mentioning also that the participating teams were divided into two groups of five teams on each side to qualify two teams from each group according to the maximum number of points possible and the groups and the results of the draw as follows:

The first group is Egypt, Bani Yas, Spain, the Ministry of Interior and Tunisia, and the second group is Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Britain, ADNOC and Etihad Airways

The tournament will be in the pentathlon system and will start next Friday at 2:30 pm until 6:00 pm to continue for two days and then continue next week for a day and then the next week for a total of four days until the tournament is closed and the winner of the first edition of the Year of Tolerance is declared.
