Baniyas continued their lead to the first division league after beating Khorfakkan by 3-1 in the match that gathered the two teams at Baniyas stadium on Friday 30 March 2018.
Al-Samawi entered the match with a team of Mohammed Khalaf in the goalkeeper, Youssef Jaber, Khaled Al-Attas, Ahmed Dada, Mohammed Saif, Haboush Saleh, Faisal Al-Khadim, Suhail Nubi, Harry Novillo, Ahmed Rabee, Manucho. The substitute bench included Adel Abu Bakr, Omar Al Rashidi, Abdullah Al Nubi, Saleh Al Manhali, Ahmed Haboush, Hamad Al Hosani and Hassan Al Shateri.
Al Samawi opened the scoring early through the Ivorian Manucho in the 4th minute, but the reaction came quickly from the guests who scored the equalizer in the 6th minute through the player Adel Saqr, Manucho to return again and record the second goal to put Baniyas again in the lead in the 23rd minute to end the first half with two for Baniyas one for Khorfakkan.
In the second half Al-Samawi also started quickly, scoring the third goal after only 4 minutes of the second half that the way of Ahmed Rabie in the 49th minute. The visitors reduced the difference after Munther Abu Ammar scored in 66 minutes the second goal for Khorfakkan.
Al-Samawi doubled the score by scoring for the fourth goal by Ahmed Dada in the 73rd minute to end the game with a 4-2 victory for Baniyas.
With this win, Al Samawi rose to 43 points, becoming closer and closer to returning to the professional league. Al-Samawi will meet Al-Orouba team in the next round on Friday 6 April at Al-Shamkha Stadium at 5:55 pm.
