Baniyas made a strong start to the second half, taking the lead through Youssouf Niakaté in the 47th minute following a well-constructed attacking move. However, Al Ain responded quickly, leveling the score through Kodjo Laba from the penalty spot in the 54th minute, before Adrián Silva put the visitors ahead with a second goal in the 59th minute.
Baniyas showed great resilience and determination, equalizing in the 67th minute through Fawaz Awana to bring the match back to level terms and set up an intense final phase.
In the closing stages, Al Ain capitalized on their numerical advantage to score the decisive goal through Soufiane Rahimi in the 87th minute, sealing a 3-2 victory.
