Daniel Isaiala: A tough match against a strong opponent.

Bani Yas Club held a press conference today to talk about the upcoming match against Al Jazira in the fourteenth round of the ADNOC Professional League, in the presence of technical director Daniel Isaiala and goalkeeper Fahad Al Dhanhani.

Coach Daniel Isaiala began his speech by emphasizing the importance and difficulty of the match as it is the first match in the second round of the tournament, noting that it is a derby match against a team at the top of the standings, which increases its competitive value. The coach confirmed that the team is preparing for this match in the best possible way despite the challenges.

Isaiala added:

“Since I took over the team, all matches have been difficult, but our goal is clear, which is to achieve the largest possible number of points against any opponent, no matter how strong they are. We will enter this match with the ambition of coming out with a positive result.”

He also pointed out that the technical staff analyzed Al Jazira’s performance despite the short time, as they focused on some technical and tactical aspects to explain them to the players after completing the recovery processes.

The coach touched on the issue of rest time before the match, as Al Jazira gets two extra days compared to Bani Yas, but stressed that this will not be an excuse, and that the team will prepare in the best possible way.

Speaking about the development of Al Jazira’s level, Issila said:

“Al Jazira has changed a lot from the first round match, they are now a stronger team, they have great attacking power, and their style of play has clearly changed, which makes them a tougher opponent.”

The coach confirmed that Bani Yas’ style of play has also developed, as the team has become able to create more opportunities, stressing that both teams enter every match with the ambition to achieve victory.

Regarding the absences, Issila confirmed that the team will miss the services of player Mats Johan due to a clause in his contract that prevents him from playing against his former team Al Jazira. He also pointed out that Bani Yas needs resident players who hold Emirati passports, which gives some teams an advantage over others.

Fahad Al Dhanhani: We enter the match with high focus and our goal is to correct the course

For his part, goalkeeper Fahad Al Dhanhani spoke about the importance of the match, saying:

“The derby match is always a difficult confrontation, but our ambition is to win. We have to take each match separately with the aim of achieving points and correcting our position in the standings.”

He added that mistakes were part of previous matches, as the team conceded some goals due to individual mistakes, but work is ongoing to correct them, indicating that focus was the element that the team lacked in some previous matches, but the performance began to improve significantly.

Al Dhanhani concluded his speech by sending a message to the fans, saying:

“We always strive to live up to the expectations of Bani Yas fans, and we will do our best in the upcoming matches.”
