Al-Samawi failed to achieve the three point in the match that played against Emirates after losing by 2-1 for the 6th round of Arabian Gulf League today Friday 19th October 2018.
Al-Samawi entered the match missing Ahmed Dada due to injury and included Fahad Al-Dhahnani, Robson, Hassan Al Mahrami, Yousif Jaber, Salem Al Hammadi, Michael Ortega, Fawaz Awanah, Haboush Saleh, Souhail Al Noubi, Leroy George, Pedro Conde.
Al-Samawi opened the scoring early by Pedro Condi in the seventh minute of the game after amazing control in the penalty area to set the ball in the net of Emirates goalkeeper Al-Shaji. The visitors before the end of the first half managed to get a penalty kick caused by the Brazilian defender Robson successfully scored by Walid Ambar at the 45 minutes to return the game to the starting point and to end the first half with a positive draw for both teams.
In the second half, the visitors were stunned by an early goal in the 47th minute by Salem Saeed. Al Samawi return to the match before the end of the game in the 84th minute through the former Emirates player Ahmed Mal Allah through a header that settled in the Emirates net to return Baniyas to the game, Al Samawi managed to score the leading goal by Faisal Al-Khadim in the 87th minute. However before the end of the match Emirates managed to snatch the equalizing goal in the stoppage time at 96th minute by defender Saad Sorour to end the game with a positive draw for both teams.
